AWAC’s Mentoring Committee is delighted to host Dr. Laura Allen and Dr. Gavin Johnson for a virtual workshop exploring “The Latest Arrival: Reflecting on Generative AI’s Enrollment in Writing-Intensive Courses.”
As we approach the conclusion of the first full semester during which generative AI tools have become widely recognized, discussed, and integrated into certain classrooms, we find ourselves at a fascinating crossroads. Is it time to integrate AI into writing pedagogy? Our universities have begun formulating AI policies, while government regulations are still lagging behind.
Join us as we engage in reflection on the impact of generative AI during the Fall 2023 term and, together, chart a path forward for writing instructors in this evolving landscape.
