SUMMARY:AWAC Virtual Workshop - Navigating Inclusive STEM Education in a Time of Crisis
DESCRIPTION:AWAC’s Mentoring Committee is delighted to host LaKeisha McClary and Heather Falconer for a virtual workshop: “Navigating Inclusive STEM Education in a Time of Crisis” \nJoin LaKeisha McClary and Heather Falconer (editors of Inclusive STEM: Transforming Disciplinary Writing Instruction for a Socially Just Future) to discuss the challenges and opportunities of being STEM writing and writing educators in a time when diversity\, equity\, inclusion\, access\, and justice (DEIAJ) are being challenged on multiple fronts. The editors will discuss the reason for the collection\, what DEIAJ really means in educational settings\, and why such practices benefit every student.
