SUMMARY:WAC Summer Institute 2022 @ UGA
DESCRIPTION:The Summer Institute’s primary goal is to assist new and prospective leaders of WAC/WID or similar initiatives in the US and internationally in planning and developing sustainable programs. The Summer Institute also supports experienced directors who face new challenges or wish to expand\, update\, or revitalize their programs. \nThe institute agenda will move through the whole systems approach to launching and developing WAC programs as developed by Michelle Cox\, Jeffrey Galin\, and Dan Melzer in their book Sustainable WAC. Participants will work in small groups\, as a whole group\, individually\, and with facilitators to tailor this approach to their own institutional contexts and goals. Check out the schedule-at-a-glance here.  \nFacilitators include Cristyn Elder (University of New Mexico)\, Chris Anson (North Carolina State University)\, Jamila Kareem (University of Central Florida)\, Jeffrey Galin (Florida Atlantic University)\, and Alisa Russell (Wake Forest University). \nRegistration will be capped at 35 participants and opens February 13 at 1:00 PM EST. \nRegistration closes at 11:59 PM EST on April 11\, 2022.
