Sandra Jamieson is Professor of English and Director of Writing Across the Curriculum at Drew University, where she works with faculty across the curriculum as they develop and teach writing enriched courses and runs a course-embedded undergraduate writing fellows program, working closely with the Director of First-Year Writing to ensure a fully scaffolded vertical writing curriculum. That program was profiled in Writing Program Architecture: Thirty Cases for Reference and Research, edited by Jamie White-Farnham and Bryna Siegel Finer (Utah State UP, 2017). Sandra regularly presents papers and facilitates workshops at academic conferences in the US and abroad and is invited to campuses to delivered lectures and keynotes, lead faculty and student workshops, and consult with or review programs. She has worked with faculty developing and implementing QEPs and currently serves on the Middle States Accreditation Committee on her campus, focusing on assessment.

As a principal investigator in the Citation Project (citationproject.net) she has worked with writing programs at multiple institutions as they assess student writing and the programs designed to teach it, revise curriculum, and implement academic integrity policies. She co-authored The Bedford Guide to Teaching Writing in the Disciplines: An Instructor’s Desk Reference (Bedford, 1993) with Rebecca Moore Howard, and has co-edited three collections, one of which, Coming of Age: The Advanced Undergraduate Writing Curriculum (co-edited with LindaShamoon, Rebecca Moore Howard, & Robert Schwegler, 2000), was the recipient of the Council of Writing Program Administrators’ Best Book of the year Award. More recent publications include the collections Points of Departure: Rethinking Student Source Use and Writing Studies Research Methods(co-edited with Tricia Serviss, 2018), and Information Literacy: Research and Collaboration across Disciplines(co-edited with Barbara J. D’Angelo, Barry Maid, & Janice R. Walker, 2017). She has also published nineteen articles and book chapters, presented more than 60 refereed conference papers, and run faculty development workshops on more than thirty campuses. Sandra has held office in a number of organizations, including the Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC) and the Association of Rhetoric and Writing Studies (ARWS). She earned her Ph.D. and MA at Binghamton University and her BA at the University of East Anglia, UK.
