Having directed the SHSU Writing in the Disciplines program since 2007, Dr. Nardone works with colleges and departments to integrate writing into degree plans and courses and provides one-on-one mentorship for faculty to include writing in their pedagogical practices. Drawing upon her consulting experience at both the community-college and university levels, in 2013 Nardone directed the assessment and revision of SHSU’s Writing across the Curriculum program. She continues to work with the university’s Office of Academic Planning and Assessment to track writing outcomes and develop opportunities for increased writing activities across disciplines, and she consults with individual colleges at Sam Houston State University as they develop their own writing-supported curricula.
